Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-4 -- 'Black Double Chevron', Oberleutenant Adolf Dickfield, Gruppen-kommandeur II./JG 2, Kairouan, Tunisia, December 1942
Aviation Archive. This model was produced in 2004, within Corgi's good years, and this particular copy was made for the British market. At this time, the model certification number was stamped on a brass plate glued to the round, clear plastic stand. Of course, since the model is painted in the less popular desert sand, and because so many were minted, there are still plenty of copies available at reasonable prices. Only to prove that desert sand is an acquired taste, grit and all.

Thank you Photoshop. I forgot to change the extended tail wheel to the retracted version when I took the "flying" pictures, so had to photoshop a correct positioning. (I think, think, that's the proper spelling of Photoshop when it is used as a verb.)
