Messerschmitt Me 262A-1a, "Yellow 5", Unteroffizier Anton Schoppler, "World War II, The End of the War in Europe"
Aviation Archive. World War II - The End of the War in Europe. Nice colors and paint application, but suffers from rough handling at the factory. Also, the landing gear isn't as strong as later models in the series. These early-version struts had small single pins sticking out of platforms that fit equally small rubber grommets in recesses in the wings. Only a very firm and determined pressure on the strut can get the landing gear to stay somewhat in place. Later gear mounts were more robust and stayed where they were wanted.
