Aviation Archive. This absolutely gorgeous Emil was produced in 2001. Almost every feature of this model makes it a standout, the only oddities (called that only because I'm not sure whether they were ment to be that way) are the different shades of yellow used on the nose and on the tail, and the different shades of sky-blue used on the fuselage sides and on the belly and under-wings.

Cockamamie camo. It is facinating how the vagaries of war lead to such confused camouflage messages. The green splotches on the fuselage of the 1:1 version of this plane were added to help hide it from the air; and the yellow nose was added as a recognition feature to be more identifiable as German in the air. However, the yellow nose makes the plane easier to see on the ground, negating the usefulness of the splotches on the sides! Thankfully, the resulting contradiction makes a most attractive model.
