B-339E "Buffalo" No. 448 Squadron, RNZAF, Singapore, late 1941 "Pacific Theater"
Air Power Series. Very nice rendition of the Buffalo, with a lot of little touches, including the use of clear plastic in not only the canopy but in the belly forward of the cockpit. The metal landing gear brace is unique, but works very well; the model can be slid around on its main gear without fear of collapse. The brace must be filed to fit the rail molded into the bottom of the fuselage between the wheel wells, but this can be done in ten minutes or less using your trusty modelling files (you DO have a set, don't you?). The paint is typical Hobby Master-tough, though the brown color in the camo seems a bit pinkish; a wash was used in the panel lines for contrast, but, thankfully, it isn't awfully agressive.
