I've cried plenty over the demise of Carousel, so I shouldn't go there again. But I can't help it--what a loss! This model is an excellent example of Carousel's fantastic quality. The landing gear is held on with a magnet placed at the apex of the gear where it meets the fuselage spine. The struts on each side slip into holes inside fuselage. The arrangement gives the model a bit of a rocking motion when it is moved, much like the real plane. The pilot is well done and the engine is nicely simulated. The paint job is smooth with no blows or scratches. The national insignia is very well applied. And, as usual with Carousel, the prop is made of metal. All in all, great stuff.
