An old model from the first generation Gemini Jets. When I ordered
this you could almost sense the vendor sighing with relief because
he'd been stuck with the thing for several years and was afraid
he was going to have to write it off as a business loss.
Note the seam below the tailplane. Apparently, this was a characteristic
of first generation Gemini Jets.
Just a matter of taste. Well,
I like it even if it is a bit old. The quality isn't up to more
current Gemini Jets standards (the paint ran were it was applied
under the tail), but it has a certain, uh, charm. Actually, I bougt
it because it's yellow. My favorite model when I was a kid was the
Aurora Zero, which was moulded in a beautiful translucent yellow.
Some things you just never get over.
